Devon: This poignant, heart felt folk song was inspired by Emily Bronte's novel "Wuthering Heights" and the attraction between two opposites, the wild, Dionysian-like character Heathcliff and the more refined, gentle Catherine. This song is about what was ultimately a passionate, but destructive love. Many listeners have been in a position where they have come to a cross roads and must choose between a wild, rain-swept path or the other, which leads towards the sun, and will be able to relate to these lyrics.
